Hey guys, I’m Joa! Welcome to my new online yoga community “The Primal Yogis”.

I have been involved with movement and wellness for my whole life. Being an ex-athlete and musician, I am passionate about combining physical exercise with inner self-discovery.

I am focussed on alignment and self-exploration, as I believe it is key for developing a safe and lasting practice within the parameters of one’s own individuality.

My classes vary between traditional yogic practices, flows, and athletic conditioning to help strengthen the body as well as creating flexibility and endurance.

We will cover a variety of styles, including: Ashtanga Vinyasa, Power Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga, Mobility and Restorative.

I will also be running workshops every other Sunday, in addition to our weekly classes! Please join our community Facebook group for updates on these.

Do I need any equipment?

You will need a yoga mat and optional yoga blocks & belts

Joa is a wonderful teacher, his classes are fun and challenging, he guides and encourages you to do what’s best for your body. I always look forward to his classes as I know I will leave feeling relaxed and full of positive energy. He’s very observant, constantly checking your positioning and how you feel, adding new techniques weekly to get more from each pose as you progress.
